Nesta quinta-feira (23), o presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), afirmou que está agendada para o dia 4 de maio a publicação do relatório do projeto que institui a Política Nacional de Minerais Críticos Estratégicos. O parecer do relator, deputado Arnaldo Jardim (Cidadania-SP), seria divulgado nesta semana, mas o governo federal pediu mais tempo.

O presidente acrescentou que o texto do deputado Arnaldo Jardim tem potencial para avançar com a legislação brasileira. "Pelo que conversei com ele (Jardim), o texto deverá representar um grande avanço da nossa legislação para que o Brasil possa se beneficiar ao máximo dessa grande reserva que nós temos de minerais críticos, as famosas Terras Raras", disse.
