A Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel) anunciou nesta sexta-feira (24) que a bandeira tarifária em maio será amarela. Dessa forma, haverá custo adicional de R$ 1,885 a cada 100 kWh consumidos.
Segundo informou a agência, a medida se dá em razão da redução de chuvas. Durante o período seco, a geração de energia por meio de hidrelétricas é menor, o que resulta no acionamento de usinas termelétricas.
De janeiro a abril, a bandeira tarifária permaneceu verde. Logo, no primeiro trimestre do ano, não houve custo extra aos consumidores.
Criado em 2015, o mecanismo de bandeiras tarifárias indica ao consumidor o custo real de energia no Brasil. O sistema considera a disponibilidade de recursos hídricos, o avanço das fontes renováveis e o acionamento de fontes de geração, como termelétricas. Quando a produção de energia fica mais cara, há a cobrança extra.
