Procurada pelo Correio, a assessoria de imprensa do STF não se manifestou. Ao jornal Folha de S.Paulo, o ministro negou ter registrado e vazado a reunião. "Eu não gravo e não fico relatando conversa de ministros. Não relato conversas pessoais nem institucionais. Nunca gravei uma conversa na minha vida", disse.
Dias Toffoli deixou, ontem, a relatoria da investigação do Banco Master. A medida foi anunciada em uma nota assinada pelos dez integrantes da Corte após uma reunião que durou mais de três horas. O magistrado era alvo de uma série de questionamentos e acusações de suspeição, que se agravaram depois que o relatório da Polícia Federal, entregue pessoalmente ao presidente do STF, Edson Fachin, mostrou as menções ao então relator no celular periciado do banqueiro Daniel Vorcaro.
No comunicado divulgado pelo STF, os magistrados afirmaram que as decisões anteriores serão mantidas e informaram "não ser caso de cabimento para a arguição de suspeição". Os integrantes expressaram "total apoio" ao magistrado, "respeitando a dignidade de Sua Excelência, bem como a inexistência de suspeição ou de impedimento".
