O ministro das Relações Exteriores do Irã, Abbas Araghchi, criticou a ausência de Teerã nas discussões da Conferência de Segurança de Munique, em curso desde sexta-feira (13/02) na cidade alemã.

"É lamentável ver a geralmente séria Conferência de Segurança de Munique transformada no 'Circo de Munique' quando o assunto é o Irã", afirmou, em postagem na plataforma X.

A delegação iraniana foi excluída do evento. No entanto, Reza Pahlavi, filho do último Xá do Irã, foi convidado. "A UE parece confusa, devido à sua incapacidade de compreender o que se passa no Irã", afirmou.

"Estrategicamente, uma UE sem rumo perdeu toda a sua influência geopolítica na nossa região, a Alemanha, em particular, está na vanguarda da entrega total da sua política regional a Israel", disse.

Ele qualificou a trajetória do bloco europeu como, no mínimo, "desastrosa", destacando sua "paralisia e a irrelevância" nas dinâmicas das atuais negociações sobre o programa nuclear iraniano.

"Outrora um interlocutor fundamental, a Europa desapareceu completamente. Em vez disso, os nossos aliados na região são muito mais eficazes e prestativos", do que uma Europa "esvaziada e à margem".

Segundo Araghchi, a exclusão do governo legítimo iraniano do Fórum "demonstra que certos atores preferem o espetáculo político à diplomacia séria".

A presença de Reza Pahlavi na Conferência de Segurança em Munique provocou particular indignação em Teerã. Filho de Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, o último Xá iraniano, deposto em 1979 pela Revolução Islâmica, Pahlavi instou os manifestantes dos violentos protestos ocorridos no país, recentemente, a lutarem pela mudança do regime iraniano.

Araqchi viajou neste domingo para a Suíça, onde participará da segunda rodada de negociações com os Estados Unidos, a partir da mediação de Omã. As discussões ocorrerão na próxima terça-feira (17/02).
