Em geral, veículos mais antigos implicam maior emissão de gases de efeito estufa.
"A IGAR materializa, na prática, as diretrizes do Programa Mover, que promove a economia circular, a reciclagem, a descarbonização e a logística reversa. O projeto consolida mais de duas décadas de estudos contínuos, desenvolvidos em parceria com players do setor automotivo, e está preparado para certificar a reciclabilidade de milhares de veículos obsoletos. Com capacidade para desmontar e descontaminar até 300 mil veículos, a iniciativa contribui diretamente para um futuro mais limpo e para a melhoria do ambiente", completa Vittorio Medioli.
O vice-presidente da Anfavea e da Stellantis, Márcio de Lima Leite, enfatizou, durante o evento, o protagonismo do setor: "Muitas vezes há um questionamento sobre a indústria automobilística e o meio ambiente. No entanto, ela tem sido a grande responsável pelo amadurecimento do processo de descarbonização no Brasil nos últimos anos", ponderou.
