Por Andre Richter - O ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), determinou nesta terça-feira (17) que o governo do estado do Rio de Janeiro envie à Polícia Federal (PF), em mídia física, as imagens capturadas durante a Operação Contenção, deflagrada no ano passado.
A operação foi deflagrada em outubro do ano passado pelas polícias civil e militar e terminou com a morte de 121 pessoas que seriam ligadas à organização criminosa Comando Vermelho (CV), além de quatro policiais.
A decisão foi tomada após a PF informar ao Supremo que não conseguiu acessar os links dos 945 vídeos que já foram enviados para a corporação, que será responsável pela perícia do material.
No mês passado, Moraes deu prazo de 15 dias para o governo estadual enviar as imagens para a PF. A determinação foi cumprida, mas os peritos não conseguiram acessar os arquivos.
Na decisão proferida hoje, o ministro disse que a análise das imagens é crucial para as investigações sobre a legalidade da operação.
Diante desses entraves mostra-se necessário que o material seja disponibilizado de forma a permitir o trabalho pericial em sua integralidade e com a devida segurança técnica, afirmou.
A decisão do ministro foi tomada no processo conhecido como ADPF das Favelas - Arguição de Descumprimento de Preceito Fundamental (ADPF) nº 635. Na ação, a Corte já determinou diversas medidas para redução da letalidade durante operações em comunidades do Rio de Janeiro. (com Agência Brasil)
