Government announces investments for family farming dairy sector

The federal government will announce on Monday (27) investments for the family farming dairy sector. The package includes 300 thousand embryos for genetic improvement of herds and a new rural credit line for cooperatives. The announcement will be made at an event in Andradina, SP, with participation of Vice President Geraldo Alckmin.

Pronaf is the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture, which provides special financing conditions for dairy sector agricultural cooperatives. The government created a new credit line with payment terms of up to six years, 8% annual interest rates and a limit of up to R$ 40 million per cooperative.
