Trump's disapproval reaches 62% in US during war with Iran

2 sources · 22 Apr 2026

A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 62% of Americans disapprove of President Trump, while 36% approve of his performance. The numbers remain at the lowest level of his current term during the war with Iran and tensions with the pope.

Trump is in his second presidential term, having been inaugurated in January 2025, and since February has been involved in a war against Iran alongside Israel. The war has drastically increased gasoline prices in the US and generated tensions with Pope Leo XIV, who criticized the Middle East conflict.
