Já a fase 2, de Paes Landim a Eliseu Martins (ambas cidades do Piauí), está em fase inicial das obras de infraestrutura.

Em fevereiro deste ano, chegou da China o último lote de trilhos necessário para concluir a montagem completa da linha férrea.
